DIXON MILLS, Ala.-- Authorities have arrested and charged 50-year-old Ronnie Lee Watkins with arson in a blaze that heavily damaged a rural Marengo County church.State Fire Marshal Ed Paulk says the March 15 fire was discovered in the Angel Temple Church on Magnolia Church Road in Dixon Mills.
In a statement, Paulk says Watkins of Magnolia is a member of the church.
He was charged Friday with second-degree arson and held in the Marengo County Jail. It was not immediately known if he had an attorney.
